Job Summary:
We're seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our finance department in Nashik. This role is crucial for overseeing complex accounting tasks, ensuring financial accuracy, preparing statutory reports, and supporting strategic financial analysis. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Oversee and manage the daily financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Prepare and finalize financial statements, including profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) or AS.
Conduct thorough monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all entries are accurate and reconciled.
Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.
Perform inter-company reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Taxation & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate computation and filing of all direct and indirect taxes, including GST (Goods and Services Tax), TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), TCS (Tax Collected at Source), Advance Tax, and Income Tax.
Prepare and submit various statutory returns and reports as per regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and facilitate internal, statutory, and tax audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
Stay updated with changes in Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.
Reconciliation & Analysis
Perform complex bank reconciliations, inter-company reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks, providing insights to management.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Team & Process Management
Guide and mentor junior accountants or accounting assistants, providing support and training as needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure strong internal controls are in place and adhered to.
Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders as required.
