Job Title: Sales Officer / Field Sales Executive / Territory Sales Officer
Department: Sales & Marketing / Business Development
Reports To: Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager
Location: Ichalkaranji, Maharashtra, India (This role involves significant field travel within Ichalkaranji and surrounding towns/districts).
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Officer to drive sales and expand our market presence in Ichalkaranji and its surrounding regions. The Sales Officer will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets for our products/services. This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and a deep understanding of customer needs in the local market.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers within the assigned territory or market segment [1.1, 1.4].
Present, promote, and sell products/services to prospective customers, effectively communicating features, benefits, and value propositions.
Conduct market research to identify potential leads, understand customer needs, and stay updated on competitor activities and market trends [1.1].
Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
Prepare and submit sales contracts, orders, and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Client Relationship Management:
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty [1.1, 1.4].
Resolve customer complaints and issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, and escalating complex matters to the sales manager when necessary [1.1].
Reporting & Administration:
Analyze the territory/markets potential, track sales, and status reports.
Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress.
Provide management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services [1.1, 1.4].
Product Knowledge & Training:
Continuously improve through feedback and stay up-to-date with best sales practices and promotional trends.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products/services to answer customer questions and provide effective solutions.
