Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and subsidiary books.
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
Accounts Payable (AP):
Process vendor invoices, ensure proper approvals, and prepare payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
Generate and issue invoices to clients for services rendered or goods sold.
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up with clients for timely collections.
Process customer payments and apply them accurately to respective accounts.
Bank & Cash Reconciliation:
Perform daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company records.
Manage petty cash and reconcile cash transactions.
Financial Data Entry:
Accurately input financial data into accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, SAP, Zoho Books, QuickBooks) and spreadsheets.
Assistance in Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of various financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Support the finance team during month-end and year-end closing processes.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, AS), and relevant statutory regulations (e.g., GST, TDS, Income Tax).
Maintain organized and complete financial documentation for audit purposes.
Assist with preparation for internal and external audits.
Expense Management:
Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
General Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Communication (Local Emphasis): Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and clients. Proficiency in Marathi and Hindi is highly beneficial for local interactions. Good English proficiency is also essential for formal documentation and communication.
