Job Summary:
The Field Sales Engineer will be responsible for combining technical knowledge with sales skills to provide solutions to clients, focusing on the sale of our [mention specific products/services, e.g., industrial automation systems, specialized machinery, technical components]. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating product capabilities, preparing technical proposals, and achieving sales targets within the assigned territory in Nashik and surrounding regions of Maharashtra.
Responsibilities:
Technical Sales & Business Development: Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities, prospective clients, and markets for our [products/services]. Drive sales growth within the assigned territory.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their technical requirements and providing tailored solutions.
Product Expertise & Demonstration: Develop a deep technical understanding of our [products/services] and their applications. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions for potential and existing clients.
Needs Assessment & Solution Design: Work closely with clients to understand their specific technical challenges and requirements. Propose appropriate solutions from our product portfolio, often involving custom configurations or system integration.
Technical Proposal & Quotation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive technical proposals, specifications, and quotations in response to client inquiries and project requirements.
Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and inform product development strategies.
Customer Support & Troubleshooting (Pre/Post-Sales): Provide technical support to clients during the pre-sales phase (e.g., advising on product selection) and assist with post-sales technical queries or basic troubleshooting if required, coordinating with service teams.
Collaboration: Liaise effectively with internal teams including R&D, Production, Service, and Marketing to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system. Submit regular sales forecasts and reports to management.
Travel: Travel extensively within the assigned territory (Nashik and surrounding districts) to visit client sites, attend meetings, and participate in industry events.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, sales procedures, and ethical guidelines.
