Key Responsibilities
Design and develop automotive plastic interior trim components such as dashboard, door trims, pillar trims, center console, glove box, and related assemblies.
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation using CAD software.
Apply plastic part design guidelines, DFMEA, GD&T, and DFM principles during product development.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including styling, CAE, tooling, manufacturing, and quality departments.
Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews to ensure manufacturability and assembly requirements.
Support prototype development, testing, validation, and production launch activities.
Work with suppliers and tool makers during mold development and product trials.
Analyze and resolve design, fitment, dimensional, and quality-related issues.
Ensure compliance with OEM standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Support engineering change management and product cost optimization initiatives.
