Location: Nashik, Maharashtra, India (This is primarily an office-based role).
Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent, organized, and technically proficient Computer Operator / Executive to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our computer systems and data management processes at our Nashik office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate data entry, system monitoring, generating reports, providing basic technical support, and assisting with general administrative tasks. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting various departmental functions through effective use of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry & Management:
Accurately input, update, and maintain various types of data (e.g., customer information, transaction details, inventory, sales figures, employee records) into designated computer systems, databases, or spreadsheets.
Verify the integrity and completeness of data, identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies.
Organize and maintain both physical and digital files, ensuring easy retrieval and adherence to confidentiality protocols.
System Operation & Monitoring:
Operate and monitor computer systems, peripherals (printers, scanners, projectors), and basic network connections to ensure smooth functioning.
Run predefined programs, scripts, or reports as per schedule or on demand.
Monitor system performance, error messages, and alerts, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel (e.g., IT department, supervisor).
Report Generation:
Generate various reports from existing software systems (e.g., MIS reports, daily sales reports, stock reports) as required by management.
Format and present data clearly and accurately.
Basic Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide first-level support for common computer hardware and software issues (e.g., printer problems, basic software errors, network connectivity checks).
Assist users with basic application usage and common technical queries.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as data backups, system updates, and virus scans.
Communication & Coordination:
Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and external vendors regarding computer operations, data issues, or technical support requests.
Respond to emails and internal queries related to data or system availability.
Administrative Support:
Assist with general office administration tasks such as scanning documents, printing, photocopying, and managing office supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the computer workstation area.
