Key Roles and Responsibilities The CCCTS is a crucial link between junior ticketing staff and the senior commercial officers, ensuring smooth operations and accountability for passenger revenue. Category Specific Responsibilities Supervision & Management Overseeing all ticket-issuing counters (reserved and unreserved) to ensure efficient operation.Managing, assigning duties to, and maintaining discipline among junior ticketing staff (like Commercial cum Ticket Clerks).Supervising other commercial aspects like the sale of platform tickets, functioning of retiring rooms, and sometimes even aspects of parcel/luggage booking.Revenue & Finance Ensuring all revenue collected from ticket sales and other commercial services is correctly accounted for, documented, and remitted.Monitoring ticket sales (both physical and digital) to prevent fraud, revenue leakage, and irregularities.Preparing and submitting various commercial and statistical reports to higher authorities.Customer Service Handling and resolving complex passenger queries, complaints, and grievances related to ticketing, refunds, train schedules, and other commercial services.Ensuring a positive passenger experience and maintaining the image of the railway system.Inspection & Compliance Conducting routine and surprise checks on ticket counters and on-board staff (TTEs) to ensure proper ticket checking and compliance with railway rules.Ensuring the correct display of fares, reservation charts, and other passenger information.
