Overview of the Role
The Business Development Executive is a target-driven sales professional responsible for generating new business, managing the sales pipeline, and achieving revenue goals. Key Responsibilities
The BDE's primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Identifying, researching, and targeting new business leads and potential clients within defined market segments.
Utilizing various methods, including cold calling, email campaigns, social selling, and networking, to generate qualified leads.
Setting up meetings and presentations between prospective clients and the sales team.
Sales Pipeline Management:
Maintaining a strong, healthy sales pipeline and accurately forecasting sales closures.
Managing the entire sales process from initial contact to contract closure.
Diligently updating and managing all sales activities, pipeline, and contact information within the CRM system.
Client Relationship Management:
Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
Acting as the primary point of contact for new clients during the onboarding phase.
Conducting market analysis to identify client needs and communicate product/service value propositions effectively.
Strategy & Reporting:
Contributing to the development and implementation of sales strategies and market penetration plans.
Preparing and delivering regular sales performance reports to management.
Meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and KPIs.
Product Knowledge:
Maintaining a deep understanding of the company's products/services, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
